Are We Nearly There Yet

“Are We Nearly There Yet” was an interactive audio installation created by laminating 16 boards of MDF with 7.9km of magnetic audio tape. The tape contained recordings of various electronic sounds and was played back by driving radio controlled cars with magnetic playback heads and radio mics.

The concept was exploring how old technology can be re-imagined and also new ways to interact with sound.

This piece was exhibited as part of Ether 2010 at the Royal Festival Hall, London
